Dr. Janah Maresca grew up in Silver Spring, Maryland. She earned her DVM from the Virginia Maryland College of Veterinary Medicine and has practiced mixed animal, small animal, and regulatory medicine in the greater DC area for over a decade.
End-of-life care has always been close to her heart and senior animals with grey "sugar face" muzzles are her very favorite. As her patients (and her own pets) get older, she celebrates their 1/2 birthdays and 1/4 birthdays in addition to full birthdays. Her mission is to make the end-of-life transition peaceful, calm, and free from pain. She is committed to open communication during each step of the decision making process and the euthanasia process. Providing in-home euthanasia services is something she considers a privilege of the highest order.
Dr. Maresca lives in Dickerson, MD, with her spouse, twin boys, two dogs, two cats, and a flock of chickens. During her off hours you can typically find her reading, baking, or hiking with the family on Sugarloaf Mountain.
